Judge’s action requires new look at sage-grouse listing

Until a new review determines whether the bi-state distinct population of the greater sage grouse should be approved for "threatened" status under the federal Endangered Species Act, a judge has reinstated a proposed listing for the bird. The judge's action involves a population localized to the California-Nevada border area that includes Mono, Inyo and Alpine counties.
