Crop disaster declared

Issue Date: August 3, 2016

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has designated Kings County as a primary natural disaster area due to damage and losses caused by rain and wind from April 8 through May 6 . USDA officials identified cherries as the main crop affected, but said farmers of other affected crops may also apply for aid.
