New law will extend revised Williamson Act program

A revised Williamson Act program intended to preserve the state's landmark farmland-conservation law will be extended beyond Jan. 1, 2016, as a result of Senate Bill 1353, which was signed into law last week after moving through the state Legislature with virtually no opposition.
