Bill advances to allow additional flexibility in water use

A bill to increase flexibility for using on-farm water supplies passed the state Assembly unopposed last week. Assembly Bill 1905, authored by Assembly Member Luis Alejo, D-Salinas, would expand permitted water rights to allow small agricultural water ponds to be registered for multiple purposes.
