Farm Bureau photo contest submissions due Sept. 22

California Farm Bureau members can showcase their photography skills and celebrate the Golden State’s agricultural bounty in the organization’s 44th annual photo contest.

A total of $2,200 in cash prizes is available in this year’s contest, which is open to amateur photographers in California who are county Farm Bureau members. Submission deadline is Sept. 22.

Participants may submit up to five high-resolution digital images capturing the essence of farm and ranch life in the state.

The competition also features a People’s Choice category, which allows members to submit one additional photo to be judged in an online gallery. From Sept. 24 to 30, the public will vote to select the winner.

Photographers aged 13 or younger as of Sept. 22, 2025, and who are children or dependents of Farm Bureau members may enter the Budding Artists category. Presented by the California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom, this category offers a first-place prize of $250 and a second-place prize of $100. All entrants will receive a copy of the “Imagine this…” book featuring agricultural stories authored and illustrated by students.

In addition to the cash prizes, winning photos will be published in California Farm Bureau publications, social media pages and websites, including www.cfbf.com, www.californiabountiful.com and www.agalert.com

Entry forms and official contest rules are available at www.cfbf.com/photocontest and from county Farm Bureaus. For more information, contact the California Farm Bureau at 916-561-5550 or photocontest@cfbf.com.
