Beef cattle event set for August 6
The California Beef Cattle Improvement Association is holding an educational and fundraising event on Aug. 6 at the Five Star Land and Livestock ranch in Wilton.
The educational forum includes a bull marketing panel featuring commercial producers. Another panel will address age and source verification issues and feature producers and cattle professionals discussing what buyers are looking for. The keynote speaker is Andy Gottschalk of Colorado-based Hedgers Edge, an agricultural market research firm. Other events include a social hour, steak dinner, various auctions and an educational trade show.
Cost is $60 per person, with seating limited to the first 200 guests. The association is also looking for breeding stock to showcase at the event for the cost of registration, as well as sponsors.
