Utilities set hearings on general rate case

Having filed respective general rate case applications with the California Public Utilities Commission last fall, San Diego Gas & Electric Co. and Southern California Gas Co. will hold a series of public hearings to inform customers. The general rate case applications being considered by the commission involves whether to approve an increase in rates and charges for electric and gas service for the two utilities, which would take effect Jan. 1.
