Moisture/nitrogen sensors help reduce water use

Most processing tomato growers have invested heavily in subsurface drip systems to improve their irrigation efficiency, and now economical versions of moisture and nitrogen sensors, along with advances in transmitting information, have brought them to the brink of being able to base their practices on information previously available only to researchers.
