Panel hears about on-farm impacts of food-safety law

As Friday's deadline approaches for public comment on two key proposed rules under the federal Food Safety Modernization Act, agricultural organizations have renewed their call for the Obama administration to revise the rules. The Food and Drug Administration has set a Nov. 15 deadline for comments on proposed rules for produce safety and preventive controls for human food.
