USDA reports on farm loans to minorities, disadvantaged

In California last year, 39.7 percent of the loans approved by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency were to minority or socially disadvantaged applicants. Total FSA California loan activity during fiscal year 2010 exceeded $117 million, with $46.7 million of those dollars going to socially disadvantaged borrowers who applied and qualified for direct and guaranteed loans.
