Grape rootstock studies emphasize drought tolerance

Drought and high daytime temperatures rose to the top of the list when the University of California surveyed winegrape growers on what issues concern them most. At a virtual grower meeting, researchers discussed how the focus of UC winegrape rootstock research is turning toward efforts to offer better drought tolerance.
