CDFA plans to help farmers with food-safety efforts
Pledging to focus on "education preceding regulation," the California Department of Food and Agriculture said it had received an $11.7 million federal grant toward state-level implementation of the Produce Safety Rule under the federal Food Safety Modernization Act.
