Water board removes most diversion curtailments

With the 2014 irrigation season essentially ended, the State Water Resources Control Board said last week it was lifting—at least temporarily—curtailments of water diversions for junior water-rights holders in the Sacramento, San Joaquin and Russian river watersheds. The move allows thousands of junior water rights holders to begin diverting and storing water for next year.
