AFBF seeks workable definitions in new health care law

In response to a proposed rulemaking by the Internal Revenue Service defining seasonal and part-time employment as part of the employer mandate in federal health care law, the American Farm Bureau Federation emphasized in comments submitted last week that farm employees are by the nature of their work "seasonal" and work unpredictable hours during periods when work is available.
