Sheriff describes efforts to slow metal thefts from farms and ranches

As a professional with a long career in law enforcement who has formed close bonds with the farmers and ranchers of San Joaquin County, Sheriff Steve Moore has spent close to 30 years serving one of the state's most productive agricultural counties. Moore came to San Joaquin County in 1982 from the Oxnard Police Department, where he began his career in law enforcement. Since then, he has commanded every major division within the sheriff's office.
